Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 13 November 2024

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of SSLBoard.com (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to SSLBoard.com, a service offered by Gone Coding Ltd.,
Unit 1603, The L. Plaza,
367 - 375 Queen’s Road Central,
Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

“User”, “You” refers to the individual or entity using the Service.

3. Use of Service

  • You must be a natural person aged 18 or older. Accounts registered by automated means are not permitted.
  • You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including network traffic generated on your behalf by the Service.
  • You must not use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks.
  • You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or systems connected to the Service.
  • By initiating a scan, you warrant that you are the owner of the target domain or have explicit permission from its owner to conduct security testing on it. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have such authorization before using the Service.
  • API access to the Service is available only upon explicit agreement with us.

4. Account and Security

You must provide your legal name, a valid email address, and any other information requested during account registration. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date.

5. Payment

The Service operates on a pay-per-use basis. Your first scan of any domain is free and requires no account or payment method. Additional scans (re-scans) of a previously analysed domain are charged at the price displayed at the time of purchase. There are no subscriptions and no automatic renewals. Each transaction is a one-time payment for a single re-scan. Completed purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. All prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, levies, or duties (including VAT or GST). You are solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes applicable to your purchase under the laws of your jurisdiction. For paid re-scans, we and our payment processor may collect business billing details, including company name, billing address, and tax ID summary, and Stripe may issue a hosted invoice for the transaction.

6. Data Usage and Privacy

We collect and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to that processing.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on SSLBoard.com, including text, software, and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials.

8. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Service and are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or interruptions. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that scan results will be accurate or reliable. Any references to compliance frameworks (including but not limited to PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, NIS2, and SOC 2) are provided for informational purposes only. The Service does not constitute a formal audit, certification, or assessment under any such framework, and results may not be used as evidence of compliance. Obtaining certification under any regulatory or industry standard remains solely your responsibility. Scan results represent a snapshot of the target infrastructure at the time of the scan and may become outdated immediately thereafter. We make no representation that your infrastructure remains secure or compliant after a scan is completed.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SSLBoard.com and Gone Coding Ltd., its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your initiation of scans against domains you were not authorised to test.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

14. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by notice on the Service or direct notification to you. Continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of our obligations under these Terms arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of god, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, internet or infrastructure outages, or third-party service failures.

16. Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, without your consent. We will provide reasonable notice of any such transfer. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

17. Severability, Waiver, and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms at any time does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. Nothing in these Terms confers any rights or remedies on any third party.
